1. The overall bed is 8" tall at the top of the headboard
2. Bottom of upper bunk mattress is 58" from the floor
3. Bottom of lower bunk mattress is 19" from the floor
4. Stair tread width is 20" and the staircase adds approximately 24" to the overall length of the bed
5. The bed is very sturdy to hold two normal size adults on any level. The stairs are also designed for a normal size adult.
6. The stairs have storage spaces under the stairs. The taller space under the top step can be used as a closet hanging space with a rod that you would install (or you can ask us to provide the rod).
7. The stairs are designed to be assembled rising left to right or right to left so that you can use the bed facing in either direction.
8. The beds are a platform configuration for use without box springs. The bed is configured for a mattress resting on slats. The space between the slats is 1.5".
9. In addition to standard mattress sizes we offer custom mattress combinations. For example: a Full size bunk mattresses with a Twin size trundle. A shorter mattress in the trundle works best – for example a Full-XL or a Twin-XL over a Twin works better than a Full or Twin over a Twin. Please contact us Contact Us for more detail.

This bed is only to be used with the intended mattress size. If you have a non-conventional mattress size, please contact us for customization.

For safe use of this bed:
-Do not allow children under 6 years of age to use the upper bunk.
-Use guardrails on both sides of the upper bunk. 
-Prohibit horseplay on or under beds. 
-Use ladder for entering or leaving upper bunk. 
-If bed is to be placed next to a wall, the continuous guardrail that runs the length of the bed should be placed against the wall to prevent entrapment between the bed and the wall. 

We use only solid hardwood sourced from forests in the Appalachian region of the United States. No veneers or compressed particle boards are used. High quality USA made plywood is used in drawer bottoms and cabinet backs and some interior drawer support structure. The wood that is not normally seen (such as mattress support slats) is a different hardwood species.

Our standard finish is Tung Oil. This creates a beautiful, highly durable and easy to maintain finish that brings out the natural character and unique grain patterns of our hardwoods. Our hardwood is from the forests in the Appalachian region of the United States that have been sustainably harvested for hundreds of years. Wood is a natural product and as a result grain patterns and variation in color and character in the wood are different in each piece of furniture and will not be an exact match with the listing photos. The unique color, grain and appearance are part of the unique one-of-a-kind qualities of your furniture.
