1. The bed is 5" wider and 4" longer than a standard sized mattress
2. The top of the headboard is 42" from the floor. Several photos show a headboard that is 33.5" from the floor. You can order a headboard with the height that is best for you. The price is will be higher if you request taller than 42".
3. The bed platform is 16" from the floor
4. Headboard width: The Queen size is 95" and the King size is 111"
5. The bed has 4 drawers; 2 pulling out each side. The under bed drawer box sides are 10" tall. The drawers glide on side mount steel ball bearing drawer slides.
6. The bed is a platform configuration for use without box springs. The bed is configured for a mattress resting on slats about 1" below the top of the sides. Queen and larger has a center support under the slats that is not shown in the photos. The space between the slats is about 1.5". 20 slats are provided. The height of the top of the slats is about 16".
7. Mounted on the two sides of the headboard are side tables as shown in the photos. Each table has one drawer and a shelf. The tables are 14" wide x 14" deep x 12" tall. You can request a different size. The last photo shows tables with no shelf which you can request if you like.

We use only solid hardwood sourced from forests in the Appalachian region of the United States. No veneers or compressed particle boards are used. High quality USA made plywood is used in drawer bottoms and cabinet backs and some interior drawer support structure. The wood that is not normally seen (such as mattress support slats) is a different hardwood species.

Our standard finish is Tung Oil. This creates a beautiful, highly durable and easy to maintain finish that brings out the natural character and unique grain patterns of our hardwoods. Our hardwood is from the forests in the Appalachian region of the United States that have been sustainably harvested for hundreds of years. Wood is a natural product and as a result grain patterns and variation in color and character in the wood are different in each piece of furniture and will not be an exact match with the listing photos. The unique color, grain and appearance are part of the unique one-of-a-kind qualities of your furniture.
