Details

Trundle bed with Pull Lift Trundle and no headboard. This trundle bed has three positions; closed, open, and raised open. The bed will function like a traditional trundle, but the second platform can also be raised to the level of the first. This creates a two-mattress configuration that can serve as one bed. The bed is custom made for you. Contact Us to request almost any change that you would like.

Dimensions

When raised, the platforms are attached by pegs. In conjunction with support struts, these fasteners rigidly hold the platforms in place. There will be 1.5" of space between the mattresses, which can be filled with a foam strip for the one-bed experience. The supports for the raised platform are attached under the trundle, and swing down on hinges when needed.

  1. The length and width of the bed platform is 4" more than a standard sized mattress. The trundle when pulled out doubles the bed width, and adds 2.5" to the top-down width.
  2. The upper platform is 16" above the floor.
  3. Both mattresses are identical, and should be at the most 8" thick.
  4. The front frame board is 12" above the floor.
  5. The backboard top is 39" above the floor.
  6. The bed is a platform configuration for use without box springs. The slats sit 1" below the frame tops and are 1.5" apart. 20 slats are provided.
  7. The trundle rolls on 6 wheels, and also features 20 slats.

Build Quality

We use only solid hardwood sourced from forests in the Appalachian region of the United States. No veneers or compressed particle boards are used. High quality USA made plywood is used in drawer bottoms and cabinet backs and some interior drawer support structure. The wood that is not normally seen (such as mattress support slats) is a different hardwood species.

Our standard finish is Tung Oil. This creates a beautiful, highly durable and easy to maintain finish that brings out the natural character and unique grain patterns of our hardwoods. For an added charge you can have stain applied prior to the Tung Oil finish. More detail can be found at our Finish Options and Stain Choices pages.

Our hardwood is from the forests in the Appalachian region of the United States that have been sustainably harvested for hundreds of years. Wood is a natural product and as a result grain patterns and variation in color and character in the wood are different in each piece of furniture and will not be an exact match with the listing photos. The unique color, grain and appearance are part of the unique one-of-a-kind qualities of your furniture.

Production and sale of this product helps the economy of Appalachia where jobs are scarce and people are skilled in working with natural materials.
