1.  The bed is 2" wider and 2" longer than a standard sized mattress
2. The top of the sides is 20" above the floor
3. Six drawers are under the bed that pull out of one side
4. The drawers pull out 28" and glide on side mount steel ball bearing slides
5. The drawer box height is about 5.75" upper and 7.75" lower row. The box width for King and Queen is 19".
6. For the Queen or King sizes, the length of the drawers will be about 38". The remaining space under the bed will be an open storage space that is accessed from either end of the bed through a door
7. For the Twin size the length of the drawers are about 32" with no other storage area under the mattress
8. The bed is a platform configuration for use without box springs. The bed is configured for a mattress resting on slats that are about at the top of the sides. The space between the slats is about 1.5". 20 slats are provided. For the Full, Queen and King sizes, a beam run from end to end under the slats to support them in addition to the support at the ends of the slats.
9. Unless you request drawer pulls, the drawers are push to open (no pull on the drawer face). You can request a rectangular cut out in the top of each drawer face for a pull.

We use only solid hardwood sourced from forests in the Appalachian region of the United States. No veneers or compressed particle boards are used. High quality USA made plywood is used in drawer bottoms and cabinet backs and some interior drawer support structure. The wood that is not normally seen (such as mattress support slats) is a different hardwood species.

Our standard finish is Tung Oil. This creates a beautiful, highly durable and easy to maintain finish that brings out the natural character and unique grain patterns of our hardwoods. Our hardwood is from the forests in the Appalachian region of the United States that have been sustainably harvested for hundreds of years. Wood is a natural product and as a result grain patterns and variation in color and character in the wood are different in each piece of furniture and will not be an exact match with the listing photos. The unique color, grain and appearance are part of the unique one-of-a-kind qualities of your furniture.
