Let this loft bed with desk and shelves transform your room into a dual-tier resting and working space! Full width stairs will make it easy to get the most out of the bed, desk, and shelving. This is the perfect companion for work and play! The bed shown in photos is Queen size but can be built in any standard size. Like all our furniture, this piece will be custom made for you. Dimensions

  1. The bed is 25" longer and 6" wider than a standard sized mattress.
  2. Overall Length for the Queen/King size is 105", and the Twin or Full sizes are 100".
  3. The angle of the slope of the stairs is 15 degrees from vertical (75 degrees from horizontal).
  4. The stairs span the total width of the bed, and are mounted at it's foot.
  5. The desk is the width of the bed.
  6. The shelves under the head end are the width of the bed and are 16" deep.
  7. The bed is held together with bolts, which have smooth bronze heads in visible areas.
  8. The bed shown in the photos is a Queen sized bed. The Full size and Twin size are the same but sized for the smaller mattresses.
  9. The bed is a platform configuration for use without box springs. The bed is configured for a mattress resting on slats, spaced 1.5" apart.
  10. The upper side board bottoms are 10" above the top of the platform and are 7" tall.
  11. The top of the platform surface is 59" above the floor. The head clearance under the platform is 57". You can request changes to any dimensions.
  12. A reinforcing rib will be located below each of the 6 steps, strengthening each and providing lateral strength for the foot end of the bed.

This product meets CPSC specifications. This product is designed for use by adults.

This bed is only to be used with the intended mattress size. If you have a non-conventional mattress size, please contact us for customization.

For safe use of this bed:

  • Do not allow children under 6 years of age to use the upper bunk.
  • Use guardrails on both sides of the upper bunk.
  • Prohibit horseplay on or under beds.
  • Use ladder for entering or leaving upper bunk.
  • If bed is to be placed next to a wall, the continuous guardrail that runs the length of the bed should be placed against the wall to prevent entrapment between the bed and the wall.

Build Quality

Our furniture is built to order using time-honored construction methods. We use solid American Hardwood as our primary material - no veneers or compressed particle boards are used. High quality plywood is only used in drawer bottoms, cabinet backs, and some interior support structure where it provides needed dimensional stability.

Our standard finish is un-stained wood finished with Tung Oil. This creates a highly durable and easy to maintain surface that brings out the natural character and unique grain patterns of our hardwoods.

For an added charge stain can be applied prior to the Tung Oil finish. More details can be found at our Finish Options and Stain Choices pages. The cost is shown in the drop down menu above.

Our hardwood is from the forests in the Appalachian region of the United States that have been harvested for hundreds of years. Hardwood is a natural product and has grain and color variations that make each piece of furniture unique. No piece is an exact match with the listing photos.
