The bed is 4" wider and 6" longer than a standard mattress. The bed sides and foot end are 8" from the floor.

The floor to canopy top is 86". The posts are 84" tall and have a 3" by 3" midsection, tapering to 1.5" by 1.5" at the top and bottom. Posts have adjustable bottoms for uneven floors. Canopy rails are 1.5" by 1.5" and extend 1" past the posts on the corners. You can request rail corners that are flush with the posts.

This design includes shelf boards on top of the headboard and the footboard, and a 1" thick trim on the bottom and top of the side boards and footboard

The top of the headboard is 49" from the floor, and the footboard is 33"

The bed as listed is for use with box springs ,which includes 5 slats. The top of the slats and bottom of the box springs is 10" from the floor. The King bed sizes have a center support with legs under the slats that is not shown in the photos.

The bed can be configured for use without box springs, which provides 20 slats, with 1.5" spaces between them. The top of the platform and bottom of the mattress is 17" from the floor, and King bed sizes include the center support beam.

The bed in the photos is made from solid Cherry finished with Minwax Barn Red stain and Tung Oil finish.

We use only solid hardwood sourced from forests in the Appalachian region of the United States. No veneers or compressed particle boards are used. High quality USA made plywood is used in drawer bottoms and cabinet backs and some interior drawer support structure. The wood that is not normally seen (such as mattress support slats) is a different hardwood species.

Our standard finish is Tung Oil. This creates a beautiful, highly durable and easy to maintain finish that brings out the natural character and unique grain patterns of our hardwoods. Our hardwood is from the forests in the Appalachian region of the United States that have been sustainably harvested for hundreds of years. Wood is a natural product and as a result grain patterns and variation in color and character in the wood are different in each piece of furniture and will not be an exact match with the listing photos. The unique color, grain and appearance are part of the unique one-of-a-kind qualities of your furniture.
