Make a statement with this Canopy Bed with thick posts and a flat headboard. Shown here in both Cherry and Maple with Whitewash stain. Contact Us to request almost any change that you would like.

Dimensions

  1. The bed is 12" wider (6" on each side) and 9" (3" at the head end and 6" at the foot) longer than a standard size mattress. The platform wood that is exposed at the sides and ends will be the same as all the exposed wood finished like all of the visible wood.
  2. The overall bed is 84" tall
  3. The sides and ends sit on the floor and are 12" tall
  4. The canopy posts are 3.5" by 3.5" square top to bottom
  5. The top rails are 2.9" by 2.9" square
  6. The bed is a platform configuration for use without box springs. The bed is configured for a mattress resting on slats at the same level as the top of the sides. The Queen and larger bed sizes have a center support under the slats that is not shown in the photos. The space between the slats is 1.5". 20 slats are provided.

Build Quality

Our furniture is built to order using time-honored construction methods. We use solid American Hardwood as our primary material - no veneers or compressed particle boards are used. High quality plywood is only used in drawer bottoms, cabinet backs, and some interior support structure where it provides needed dimensional stability.

Our standard finish is un-stained wood finished with Tung Oil. This creates a highly durable and easy to maintain surface that brings out the natural character and unique grain patterns of our hardwoods.

For an added charge stain can be applied prior to the Tung Oil finish. More details can be found at our Finish Options and Stain Choices pages. The cost is shown in the drop down menu above.

Our hardwood is from the forests in the Appalachian region of the United States that have been harvested for hundreds of years. Hardwood is a natural product and has grain and color variations that make each piece of furniture unique. No piece is an exact match with the listing photos.
