Low platform storage bed approximate dimensions:

1. The bed is 5″ longer and 4″ wider than a standard sized mattress
2. The length for a Queen or King is 85″
3. The width for a Queen is 64″ and for a King the width 80″
4. The bed is a platform configuration for use without box springs. The bed is configured for a mattress resting on slats at 1″ below the top of the sides. Or upon request, the slats can be positioned differently.
5. The Queen and larger bed sizes have a center support under the slats that is not shown in the photos. The space between the slats is 1.5″. 20 slats are provided.
6. The bed sides sit on the floor. Height from floor to the top of the frame around the platform is 11.5″. The top of the slats are 10.5″ above the floor.
7. The top of the headboard is 38″ above the floor and is 20″ tall made of two boards that butt together.
8. Drawer box sides are 5″ tall. This can be increased by increasing the height of the sides of the bed. The drawers glide on side mount steel ball bearing drawer slides. The Full and larger sizes have 4 drawers and the Twin size normally has 2 drawers but has the option for 4 drawers.
9. Drawer bottoms are made out of high quality 1/4″ plywood

No veneers or compressed particle boards are used except for high quality plywood in drawer bottoms and cabinet backs and some interior drawer support structure.

Our standard finish is un-stained wood finished with Tung Oil. This creates a beautiful, highly durable and easy to maintain finish that brings out the natural character and unique grain patterns of our hardwoods.

Our wood is from the forests in the Appalachian region of the United States that have been sustainably harvested for hundreds of years. Wood is a natural product and as a result grain patterns and variation in color and character in the wood are different in each piece of furniture and will not be an exact match with the listing photos.
