Floating platform bed with headboard approximate dimensions:

1. The bed is 4.5″ wider and 5″ longer than a standard sized mattress
2. The top of the side frame/trim surrounding the mattress is 13″ from the floor. The top of the slats are 1″ below the top of the side frame.
3. The height of the top of the platform (slats) is 12″. The side frame is 4.5″ tall and its bottom is 8.5″ above the floor.
4. The bed will be configured for a mattress resting on 20 hardwood slats spaced 1.5″ apart. A center support beam will be under the slats for Queen and larger sizes.
5. The headboard total width is 37″ wider than a standard sized mattress.
6. The top of the headboard is 41″ above the floor
7. Two side tables are attached to the headboard and are 15″ wide by 12″ front to back by 10″ tall and each have one drawer. The drawers glide on steel ball bearing glides and open by pulling on the bottom of the drawer.

No veneers or compressed particle boards are used. The wood that is not normally seen (such as for slats) is a different hardwood species.

Our standard finish is Tung Oil. This creates a beautiful, highly durable and easy to maintain finish that brings out the natural character and unique grain patterns of our hardwoods. Our hardwood is from the forests in the Appalachian region of the United States that have been sustainably harvested for hundreds of years. Wood is a natural product and as a result grain patterns and variation in color and character in the wood are different in each piece of furniture and will not be an exact match with the listing photos. The unique color, grain and appearance are part of the unique one-of-a-kind qualities of your furniture.
