We are so so happy with our custom bed from Lee- it is made with incredibly beautiful materials and is incredibly high quality. The set up instructions were in depth and easy to follow- definitely helpful to have two sets of hands as it is a large piece of furniture! Communication was stellar and we couldn't be more pleased with the end product.
The bed frame arrived exactly as it was advertised. It is a beautiful and timeless piece that I'm sure will last a lifetime. Not only that, but Lee and his team were a joy to work with. We ran into a small issue when assembling the bed, and we called Lee's personal number that he provided with our order, and he picked up immediately. Lee also stayed on the phone until we were sure we had it figured out. I will buy from this shop again when I'm ready to buy another high quality piece of furniture. Also my dad is a cabinet maker, and said that he was super impressed with the materials and craftsmanship. :)
Let's start with the material. This is beautiful SOLID CHERRY that is hand-rubbed with tung oil. The wood and finish are spectacular. Next, the craftsmanship. They built a solid bed frame that they let me customize a bit, adding an extended headboard and lowering the mattress height. Now the design. The bed frame floats on two supports that stretch the width of the bed. The supports are also solid hand-rubbed cherry. It was not difficult to put together. Finally, the vendor. I had a few interactions with them to specify exactly what I want. They were helpful and EXTREMELY pleasant to work with. I could not be happier with my purchase. My expectations were exceeded. I was reluctant to spend this much without first seeing the bed or knowing the vendor. I'm very happy that I took the leap.
We LOVE our bed frame. It was finally time to ditch our old Ikea bed frame and invest in something that was handmade with real wood and would last us decades. We couldn't be happier with the craftsmanship and quality of the frame. It's nicer, more unique and less expensive than any equivalent we considered at West Elm or Crate & Barrel and felt better to support an independent maker vs a big box store. The frame came well packed in a shipping crate and wasn't too hard to put together although you definitely want two people for assembly. Thank you, Lee!

No veneers or compressed particle boards are used. The wood that is not normally seen (such as for slats) is a different hardwood species.
Our standard finish is Tung Oil. This creates a beautiful, highly durable and easy to maintain finish that brings out the natural character and unique grain patterns of the hardwoods in this Cantilever Platform Bed. Our hardwood is from the forests in the Appalachian region of the United States that have been sustainably harvested for hundreds of years.
