Tung Oil is a natural, penetrating finish oil that comes from the fruit of the Tung Oil Tree. Tung oil is all-natural, low VOC, and creates a matte finish.

For an added charge you can choose to have stain applied. We offer all MinWax Penetrating Stain colors.
Stain provides a color tint to the wood prior to application of the final Tung Oil finish.
Each of the natural hardwood species that we use accepts stain in a different way. There is no guarantee that the stained wood color will come out to the same as shown in the photos or elsewhere online.
Stain can have a strong odor for up to 6+ weeks after delivery.
Our unfinished furniture is exactly as described – just the natural wood with no finish!
All unfinished furniture is sanded and prepared to an ultra-smooth surface, just as we would do before application of Tung Oil.
Unfinished furniture is a good option for many reasons, including:
1. If a customer would like to apply their own finish
2. If a customer desires a finish that we do not offer, such as Polyurethane, Shelac or Paint
We suggest Maple as the best wood for paint as the surface is very even and the wood takes paint in a consistent manner.
