Each piece of furniture is built to order by American craftspeople from the highest quality hardwood, sourced from throughout the Appalachian region. We believe that “solid is best” and avoid the use of veneers and compressed particle board.
Solid Custom Heirlooms is a family owned and operated company started in 2010 by an Ohio native when he turned a woodworking hobby into a business. Today we are a three-generation strong family business that employs skilled American craftspeople for our design, furniture creation and finishing operations. We are proud that the production and sale of our furniture supports the people and economy of the Appalachian region.
In 2010 our founder turned his lifelong woodworking hobby into a business when he sold his first bed made from solid Cherry wood.
2010After spending the first few years exclusively focused on Cherry we expanded to our current offerings of Ash, Cherry, Maple, Red Oak, White Oak, Wormy Maple and Walnut.
2014In 2020 we shipped our 3000th Etsy order and launched the Solid Custom Heirlooms Website.
2020Solid Custom Heirlooms is still focused on providing quality furniture made from American Hardwood.
