Solid wood canopy bed with with square posts and rails for a solid look and feel. This is a platform bed foundation for use without a box spring. The bed is custom made for you. Contact Us to request almost any change that you would like.

Wood canopy bed approximate dimensions:

1. The bed is 4.5″ wider than your mattress and 4.5″ longer than a standard size mattress
2. The sides and end board bottoms are about 8″ above the floor and are about 8″ tall
3. The height of the top of the head board is about 44″ above the floor unless you request a different height
4. The bed is for use without a box springs as shown in the photos. The bed is configured for a mattress resting on slats at about 15″ above the floor. You can request a different height for the top of the slats. The king and queen sizes have a center support under the slats that is not shown in the photos. 20 slats are provided.
5. The posts are about 2.5″ x 2.5″ square top to bottom and are 84″ tall. The top rails are about .9″wide x 2.5″ tall. Because of this shape of rail there are bolts that are seen at the end of the rails as shown in the photos.
6. You can request a square cross section rail (as shown in photos 8, 9, and 10) that permits attachment without the visible bolts.

7. The first 7 photos show walnut finished with Tung Oil. The last three show cherry with no color added finished with Tung oil.

   No veneers or compressed particle boards are used. The wood that is not normally seen is a different hardwood species.

   Our standard finish is un-stained wood finished with Tung Oil. This creates a beautiful, highly durable and easy to maintain finish that brings out the natural character and unique grain patterns of our hardwoods.

   Our wood is from the forests in the Appalachian region of the United States that have been sustainably harvested for hundreds of years. Wood is a natural product and as a result grain patterns and variation in color and character in the wood are different in each piece of furniture and will not be an exact match with the listing photos. The unique color, grain and appearance are part of the unique one-of-a-kind qualities of your furniture.

   Production and sale of this product helps the economy of Appalachia where jobs are scarce and people are skilled in working with natural materials.
