Platform storage bed with headboard approximate dimensions:

1. The storage bed is 6″ wider and 6″ longer than a than a standard sized mattress
2. The top of the side frame is 20″ above the floor and the bottom is 7″ above the floor
3. The headboard is angled away from the the mattress by 8 degrees
4. The top of the headboard is 48″ above the floor
5. The height from the floor to the mattress bottom and the top of the support slats is 19″
6. The two drawers on each side of the bed glide on steel ball bearing drawer glides. The two drawer faces are about 30″ side to side. Drawer boxes 23″ inside side to side and 7.5″ height outside (6.5″ inside top to bottom). The front to back for a King bed is 36″ and for a Queen bed it is 30″.
7. The bed is a platform configuration for use without a box spring. 20 hardwood slats are provided to support the mattress.
8. The bed is configured for a mattress resting on slats 1″ lower than the top of the sides. The Queen and larger bed sizes have a center support under the slats that is not shown in the photos. The space between the slats is 1.5″.
9. Drawer boxes are made from a light color hardwood such as Maple, Poplar or Bass
10. The drawer box bottoms are made of high quality 1/4″ plywood

No veneers or compressed particle boards are used in this storage bed other than high quality plywood in drawer bottoms and some interior drawer support structure.

Our standard finish is un-stained wood finished with Tung Oil. This creates a beautiful, highly durable and easy to maintain finish that brings out the natural character and unique grain patterns of our hardwoods.

Our wood is from the forests in the Appalachian region of the United States that have been sustainably harvested for hundreds of years.
