Our Arched spindle bed features classic Amish styling and rock solid construction! This piece was inspired by the handmade buggy wheels our local Amish friends make near our workshop. The bed is custom made for you. Contact Us to request almost any change that you would like.

Spindle Bed details:

1. The bed is 6″ longer and 4″ wider than a standard sized mattress
2. The height of the top of the support slats to the bottom of the Box Spring is 10″
3. The side and footboards are 10″ tall and 8″ inches from the floor
4. The bed is for use with box springs. The King bed sizes have a center support under the slats that is not shown in the photos.
5. The 4 bed posts are straight with tapered bottoms with adjustable bottom pads for uneven floors
6. The bed can optionally be configured for use without a box springs in a platform configuration which provides 20 slats instead the standard 5 for box springs

No veneers or compressed particle boards are used except for high quality plywood in drawer bottoms and cabinet backs and some interior drawer support structure.

Our standard finish is un-stained wood finished with Tung Oil. This creates a beautiful, highly durable and easy to maintain finish that brings out the natural character and unique grain patterns of our hardwoods.

For an added charge you can have stain applied prior to the Tung Oil finish. More detail can be found at our Finish Options and Stain Choices pages. Cost is shown in the drop down menu above.

Our wood is from the forests in the Appalachian region of the United States that have been sustainably harvested for hundreds of years. Wood is a natural product and as a result grain patterns and variation in color and character in the wood are different in each piece of furniture and will not be an exact match with the listing photos. The unique color, grain and appearance are part of the unique one-of-a-kind qualities of your furniture.
