Approximate Dimensions:

1. The bed is 6″ wider and 6″ longer than a standard mattress
2. The bed sides and end are 7″ above the floor. The top of the sides are 21″ from the floor.
3. The top of the headboard is 48″ above the floor
4. The top of the footboard is 35″ above the floor
5. Height from floor to mattress bottom / top of support slats = 20″
6. The 4 drawers are located on both sides of the bed and glide on steel ball bearing drawer slides.
7. The bed is a platform configuration for use without a box spring. 20 hardwood slats are provided to support the mattress.
8. The bed is configured for a mattress resting on slats about 1″ lower than the top of the sides. Slats are provided but not shown in the photos. The Queen and larger bed sizes have a center support under the slats that is not shown in the photos. The space between the slats is about 1.5″.
9. Drawer boxes are made from a light color hardwood such as Maple, Poplar or Bass
10. The drawer box bottoms are high quality 1/4″ plywood
11. The last photo shows the floor and walls of the cubby and also the structure that holds the glides for the drawers.

The bed in the photos is solid Cherry finished with Tung Oil.

No veneers or compressed particle boards are used except for high quality plywood in drawer bottoms and cabinet backs and some interior drawer support structure.

Our standard finish is un-stained wood finished with Tung Oil. This creates a beautiful, highly durable and easy to maintain finish that brings out the natural character and unique grain patterns of our hardwoods.

Our wood is from the forests in the Appalachian region of the United States that have been sustainably harvested for hundreds of years. Wood is a natural product and as a result grain patterns and variation in color and character in the wood are different in each piece of furniture and will not be an exact match with the listing photos. The unique color, grain and appearance are part of the unique one-of-a-kind qualities of your furniture.
