Low profile platform bed approximate dimensions:

1. The bed is 8.5″ wider and 6″ longer than a standard mattress
2. Platform extension has 4″ of finished wood beyond your mattress at the sides and foot end of the bed
3. The height of the top of the platform off the floor is 12″ . Mattress sits on slats about 11″ from the floor.
4. The clearance under the side frame is 7″
5. The platform extension is made of 7/8″ thick wood with a trim piece at the outer edge that is 1.75″ thick. This makes the entire extension look like it is 1.75″ thick.
6. The headboard top is 44″ above the floor and 1.75″ thick. The headboard width is about 5″ wider than the bed frame.
7. The bed is a platform configuration for use without a box spring. 20 hardwood slats are provided to support the mattress.
8. A center support beam will be under the slats for the Queen and larger sizes. The beam will have 4 legs to the floor.

No veneers or compressed particle boards are used. The wood that is not normally seen (such as for slats) is a different hardwood species.

Our standard finish is Tung Oil. This creates a beautiful, highly durable and easy to maintain finish that brings out the natural character and unique grain patterns of our hardwoods. Our hardwood is from the forests in the Appalachian region of the United States that have been sustainably harvested for hundreds of years. Wood is a natural product and as a result grain patterns and variation in color and character in the wood are different in each piece of furniture and will not be an exact match with the listing photos. The unique color, grain and appearance are part of the unique one-of-a-kind qualities of your furniture.
