Approximate Dimensions:

1. The bed is 6″ wider and 7″ longer than a standard sized mattress
2. The height from the floor to the top of the sides is 16″
3. The height from the floor to the mattress bottom is 15″
4. The height from the floor to the bottom of the sides or ends is 8″
5. The length of the Queen or King size bed is 87″
6. The bed is a platform configuration for use without a box spring. 20 hardwood slats are provided to support the mattress.
7. The 4 bed posts are straight, with a 2.8″ by 2.8″ mid section, and tapered to 1.5″ by 1.5″ bottoms

9. Queen and larger sizes have a center support under the slats. The center support beam has short legs that go to the floor.

No veneers or compressed particle boards are used. The wood that is not normally seen (such as for slats) is a different hardwood species.

Our standard finish is Tung Oil. This creates a beautiful, highly durable and easy to maintain finish that brings out the natural character and unique grain patterns of our hardwoods. Our hardwood is from the forests in the Appalachian region of the United States that have been sustainably harvested for hundreds of years. Wood is a natural product and as a result grain patterns and variation in color and character in the wood are different in each piece of furniture and will not be an exact match with the listing photos. The unique color, grain and appearance are part of the unique one-of-a-kind qualities of your furniture.
