Modern platform bed with wide side extensions. This bed features flat extensions that extend 6 inches past the sides and foot ends for extra style and a place to put small objects. Custom for you – Contact Us to request almost any change that you would like.

Modern platform bed approximate details:

1. The bed is 13″ wider and 10″ longer than a standard sized mattress
2. The top of the headboard  is 48″ above the floor
3. The headboard is 1.75″ thick at the top and outside edges
4. The platform extension shown by the photos is made to be about 6″ for the sides and foot end
5. The height of the top of the platform extension off the floor is 12″. The top of the slats/bottom of mattress is 1″ below the top of the platform extension.  The platform extension is not under the mattress.
6. The bed is a platform configuration for use without box springs. 20 slats are provided.  The space between the slats is about 1.5″
7. Queen and larger bed sizes have a center support under the slats that is not shown in the photos.  The support has 4 legs to the floor.

All hardwood construction. The wood that is not normally seen (such as for slats) is a different hardwood species.

Our standard finish is Tung Oil. This creates a beautiful, highly durable and easy to maintain finish that brings out the natural character and unique grain patterns of our hardwoods. Our hardwood is from the forests in the Appalachian region of the United States that have been sustainably harvested for hundreds of years. Wood is a natural product and as a result grain patterns and variation in color and character in the wood are different in each piece of furniture and will not be an exact match with the listing photos. The unique color, grain and appearance are part of the unique one-of-a-kind qualities of your furniture.
