Low platform bed with headboard approximate dimensions:

1. The bed is 3.5″ wider and 2.5″ longer than a standard mattress
2. The height of the top of the platform (slats) is 12?”. The side frame is about 3.5″ tall and its bottom is about 8.5″ above the floor.
3. The top of the headboard is about 37″ above the floor
4. The bed will be configured for a mattress resting on 20 slats spaced about 1.5″. The top of the slats is near the top of the side frame. A center support beam will be under the slats for Queen and larger sizes.

The photos show Cherry with a color added and finished with Tung Oil.

No veneers or compressed particle boards are used except for high quality plywood in drawer bottoms and cabinet backs and some interior drawer support structure.

Our standard finish is un-stained wood finished with Tung Oil. This creates a beautiful, highly durable and easy to maintain finish that brings out the natural character and unique grain patterns of our hardwoods.

Our wood is from the forests in the Appalachian region of the United States that have been sustainably harvested for hundreds of years. Wood is a natural product and as a result grain patterns and variation in color and character in the wood are different in each piece of furniture and will not be an exact match with the listing photos. The unique color, grain and appearance are part of the unique one-of-a-kind qualities of your furniture.
