Approximate Dimensions:

1. The bed is 3″ wider and 3″ longer than a standard sized mattress
2. Height from floor to mattress bottom / top of support slats = 14″
3. The drawers in the foot end of the bed glide on steel ball bearing drawer slides. The photos show a cut out for the drawer pull.
4. The bed has open storage places toward the head end of the bed
5. The bed is a platform configuration for use without a box spring. 20 hardwood slats are provided to support the mattress.
6. Drawer boxes are made from a light color hardwood such as Maple, Poplar or Bass
7. The drawer box bottoms are high quality 1/4″ plywood
8.  Photos show Walnut finished with Tung Oil

No veneers or compressed particle boards are used except for high quality plywood in drawer bottoms and cabinet backs and some interior drawer support structure.

Our standard finish is un-stained wood finished with Tung Oil. This creates a beautiful, highly durable and easy to maintain finish that brings out the natural character and unique grain patterns of our hardwoods.

Our wood is from the forests in the Appalachian region of the United States that have been sustainably harvested for hundreds of years. Wood is a natural product and as a result grain patterns and variation in color and character in the wood are different in each piece of furniture and will not be an exact match with the listing photos. The unique color, grain and appearance are part of the unique one-of-a-kind qualities of your furniture.
