Approximate Details:

1. The overall bed is 84″ tall
2. Low platform: The sides and ends sit on the floor and are 11″ tall
3. Wide width platform: the platform is 12″ wider than your mattress (6″ on each side) and length 12″ longer than your mattress (6″ at the foot end and 6″ at the head end)
4. Canopy posts are 2.8″ by 2.8″ square top to bottom and are 84″ tall
5. Top canopy rails are 2.5″ by 2.5″ square
6. The bottom of the headboard is 6″ above the top of the sides. The top of the headboard is 30″ above the top of the sides.
7. The platform side top wood that is exposed at the sides and foot end will be the same as all the exposed wood finished like all of the visible wood.
8. The bed is a platform configuration for use without box springs. The bed is configured for a mattress resting on slats at the same level as the top of the sides. The Queen and larger bed sizes have a center support under the slats that is not shown in the photos. The space between the slats is 1.5″. 20 slats are provided.

No veneers or compressed particle boards are used except for high quality plywood in drawer bottoms and cabinet backs and some interior drawer support structure.

Our standard finish is un-stained wood finished with Tung Oil. This creates a beautiful, highly durable and easy to maintain finish that brings out the natural character and unique grain patterns of our hardwoods.

Our wood is from the forests in the Appalachian region of the United States that have been sustainably harvested for hundreds of years. Wood is a natural product and as a result grain patterns and variation in color and character in the wood are different in each piece of furniture and will not be an exact match with the listing photos. The unique color, grain and appearance are part of the unique one-of-a-kind qualities of your furniture.
