Approximate Dimensions:

1. The bed is 6″ wider and  7″ longer than a standard sized mattress
2. The sides sit on the floor and are 14″ tall
3. The top of the headboard is 42″ above the floor and is 22″ tall
4. Drawer box sides are 9″ tall. The length of the drawer box is half the width of your mattress. The width of the drawer box is 19″ for a Queen or King; 17″ for a Full size or Twin.
5. The bed is a platform configuration for use without box springs
6. The bed is configured for a mattress resting on slats at the same level as the top of the sides. Or upon request, the slats can be positioned lower so that a Tatami mat can be placed on the slats
7. The Queen and larger bed sizes have a center support under the slats that is not shown in the photos. The space between the slats is 1.5″. 20 slats are provided.
8. The drawers glide on side mount steel ball bearing drawer slides. The Full and larger sizes have 6 drawers and the Twin size normally has 3 drawers but has the option for 6 drawers.

No veneers or compressed particle boards are used except for high quality plywood in drawer bottoms and cabinet backs and some interior drawer support structure.

Our standard finish is un-stained wood finished with Tung Oil. This creates a beautiful, highly durable and easy to maintain finish that brings out the natural character and unique grain patterns of our hardwoods.

Our wood is from the forests in the Appalachian region of the United States that have been sustainably harvested for hundreds of years. Wood is a natural product and as a result grain patterns and variation in color and character in the wood are different in each piece of furniture and will not be an exact match with the listing photos. The unique color, grain and appearance are part of the unique one-of-a-kind qualities of your furniture.

Production and sale of this product helps the economy of Appalachia where jobs are scarce and people are skilled in working with natural materials.
