Approximate Dimensions:

1. The length for a Queen or King is 84″. The width for a Queen is 64″ and for a King the width is 80″.
2. The bed is configured for a mattress resting on slats at the same level as the top of the sides. Upon request, the slats can be positioned lower so that a Tatami mat can be placed on the slats. The space between the slats is 1.5″. 20 slats are provided.
3. The sides and ends sit on the floor and are 9″ tall
4. Drawer box sides are about 5″ tall. The drawers glide on side mounted steel ball bearing drawer slides. The full and larger sizes have 6 drawers and the twin size normally has 3 drawers but up to 6 drawers can be added upon request.

No veneers or compressed particle boards are used except for high quality plywood in drawer bottoms and cabinet backs and some interior drawer support structure. The wood that is not normally seen (such as for slats) is a different hardwood species.

Our standard finish is Tung Oil. This creates a beautiful, highly durable and easy to maintain finish that brings out the natural character and unique grain patterns of our hardwoods. Our hardwood is from the forests in the Appalachian region of the United States that have been sustainably harvested for hundreds of years. Wood is a natural product and as a result grain patterns and variation in color and character in the wood are different in each piece of furniture and will not be an exact match with the listing photos. The unique color, grain and appearance are part of the unique one-of-a-kind qualities of your furniture.
