Approximate Dimensions:

1. The overall bed is 84″ tall
2. Low platform: The sides and ends sit on the floor and are 11″ tall
3. The platform is 6″ wider (3″ on each side) and 5″ longer (3″ at the foot end and 2″ at the head end) than a standard sized mattress.
4. Canopy posts are 2.8″ by 2.8″ square top to bottom and are 84″ tall
5. Top canopy rails are 2.5″ by 2.5″ square

Additional option:  Finished foot-end slat. If you would like to push the mattress to the wall without seeing uncovered slats at the foot end, you can order a wide slat that is finished wood the same as the exterior of your bed. You can either message us for a quote with the requested width (we recommend at least 6″) or add a note to your order and a price will be quoted and invoiced after your order.

No veneers or compressed particle boards are used except for high quality plywood in drawer bottoms and cabinet backs and some interior drawer support structure.

Our standard finish is un-stained wood finished with Tung Oil. This creates a beautiful, highly durable and easy to maintain finish that brings out the natural character and unique grain patterns of our hardwoods.

For an added charge you can have stain applied prior to the Tung Oil finish. More detail can be found at our Finish Options and Stain Choices pages. Cost is shown in the drop down menu above.

Our wood is from the forests in the Appalachian region of the United States that have been sustainably harvested for hundreds of years. Wood is a natural product and as a result grain patterns and variation in color and character in the wood are different in each piece of furniture and will not be an exact match with the listing photos. The unique color, grain and appearance are part of the unique one-of-a-kind qualities of your furniture.
