Loft bed with desk and shelves approximate dimensions:

1. The bed is 25″ longer and 6″ wider than a standard size mattress
2. Overall Length for Queen/King is 105″, Twin or Full sizes is 100″
3. The angle of the slope of the stairs is 15 degrees from vertical (75 degrees from horizontal)
4. The stairs are on the foot end and span the total width of the bed
5. The desk under the foot end is the width of the bed
6. The shelves under the head end are the width of the bed and are 16″ deep
7. The parts of the structure of the bed bolt together with bolts with attractive smooth bronze heads where they are seen
8. The bed will be sturdy to hold two normal large size adults (for double size or larger sizes)
9. The bed shown in the photos is a Queen sized bed. The Full size and Twin size are the same but sized for the smaller mattresses.
10. The bed is a platform configuration for use without box springs. The bed is configured for a mattress resting on slats. The space between the slats is 1.5″.
11. An upper side board has its bottom at 10″ above the top of the platform and is 7″ tall.
12. The top of the platform surface is 59″ above the floor. The head clearance under the platform is 57″. You can request changes to any dimensions.
13. A reinforcing rib will be located below each of the 6 steps that will strengthen the step and also will provide lateral strength for the foot end of the bed

All hardwood construction. The wood that is not normally seen (such as for slats) is a different hardwood species.

Our standard finish is Tung Oil. This creates a beautiful, highly durable and easy to maintain finish that brings out the natural character and unique grain patterns of our hardwoods. Our hardwood is from the forests in the Appalachian region of the United States that have been sustainably harvested for hundreds of years. Wood is a natural product and as a result grain patterns and variation in color and character in the wood are different in each piece of furniture and will not be an exact match with the listing photos. The unique color, grain and appearance are part of the unique one-of-a-kind qualities of your furniture.
