Approximate Dimensions

1. The bed is 5″ longer and 3″ wider than a standard sized mattress
2. The bed is a platform configuration for use without box springs
3. The space between the mattress slats is 1.5″
4. The top of the slats are 1″ below the top of the sides and are 15″ above the floor. The side boards are 8″ tall and their bottom is 8″ from the floor. The upper bed frame rests on a lower 8″ tall frame that is easily seen from a few feet away.
5. The headboard top is 55″ above the floor which is 40″ above the top of the slats. The top and side edges have a thickness of 1.6″.
6. For Queen and larger sizes a center support beam supports the center of the slats

Build Quality

Our tables are of the highest quality. No veneers or compressed particle boards are used. High quality plywood is only used in drawer bottoms, cabinet backs, and some interior drawer support structure.

Our standard finish is un-stained wood finished with Tung Oil. This creates a beautiful, highly durable and easy to maintain finish that brings out the natural character and unique grain patterns of our hardwoods.

Our wood is from the forests in the Appalachian region of the United States. These woods have been sustainably harvested for hundreds of years.
