Classic four poster bed approximate dimensions:

1. 1. The bed is 4″ wider and 6″ longer than a standard sized mattress
   2. The bottom of the sides and footboards are 8″ above the floor. The sideboards are 10″ tall.
   3. Head post tops are 49″ above the floor. The top of the headboard is 4″ above the top of the posts. The bottom edge of headboard to arched top is about 26″.
   4. The bed uses a Box Spring and mattress. The Box Spring rests on slats at 10″ above the floor. 5 slats are provided.
   5. The bed is for use with a box spring but can be built in a platform configuration at an added charge (invoiced separately), Contact Us. The platform configuration includes 20 slats, which are 17″ above the floor to support the mattress.
   6. Queen and larger bed sizes have a center support under the slats that is not shown in the photos. The support beam has 4 feet that go to the floor.

No veneers or compressed particle boards are used except for high quality plywood in drawer bottoms and cabinet backs and some interior drawer support structure.

Our standard finish is un-stained wood finished with Tung Oil. This creates a beautiful, highly durable and easy to maintain finish that brings out the natural character and unique grain patterns of our hardwoods.

Our wood is from the forests in the Appalachian region of the United States that have been sustainably harvested for hundreds of years. Wood is a natural product and as a result grain patterns and variation in color and character in the wood are different in each piece of furniture and will not be an exact match with the listing photos. The unique color, grain and appearance are part of the unique one-of-a-kind qualities of your furniture.
