Approximate dimensions:

1. The total length and width of the bed is 13.5″ wider by 8.5″ longer than a standard sized mattress.
2. Drawer bottoms are made out of high quality 1/4″ thick plywood
3. The wood that is not normally seen (such as for slats) is a different hardwood species
4. The bed is a platform configuration for use without box springs
5. The bed is configured for a mattress resting on slats that are recessed from the top of the sides by 1″
6. The space between the slats is about 1.5″. 20 slats are provided
7. The top of the slats is about 15″ above the floor
8. The outside of the cantilever side frame is 3.4″ out from the drawer faces
9. The height of the top of the sides is 16″ above the floor
10. The bed size has a center support under the slats that is not shown in the photos

No veneers or compressed particle boards are used except for high quality plywood in drawer bottoms and cabinet backs and some interior drawer support structure.

Our standard finish is un-stained wood finished with Tung Oil. This creates a beautiful, highly durable and easy to maintain finish that brings out the natural character and unique grain patterns of our hardwoods.

Our wood is from the forests in the Appalachian region of the United States that have been sustainably harvested for hundreds of years. Wood is a natural product and as a result grain patterns and variation in color and character in the wood are different in each piece of furniture and will not be an exact match with the listing photos. The unique color, grain and appearance are part of the unique one-of-a-kind qualities of your furniture.
