Canopy Bed with 6 Cutout Pull Drawers Approximate Dimensions

1. 1. The bed is 12″ longer and 12″wider than a standard sized mattress
   2. The overall bed is 84″ tall
   3. The sides and ends sit on the floor and are 14″ tall
   4. The canopy posts are 2.8″ by 2.8″ square top to bottom and are 84″ tall
   5. The top canopy rails are 2.5″ by 2.5″ square
   6. The total outside dimensions of the bed are mattress width + 12″ by mattress by length + 12″ by 84″ tall
   7. The 6 drawers glide on side mount steel ball bearing drawer slides. The drawers are 8.75″ deep inside by 20″ wide inside by 28″ long for Queen size or 35″ long for the king size.
   8. The drawer box bottoms and cabinet back are made of high quality 1/4″ plywood
   9. Drawer boxes are made from a light color hardwood such as Maple, Poplar or Bass
   10. The platform side top wood that is exposed at the sides and foot end will be the same as all the exposed wood finished like all of the visible wood.
   11. The bed is a platform configuration for use without box springs. The bed is configured for a mattress resting on slats at the same level as the top of the sides.
   12. The Queen and larger bed sizes have a center support under the slats that is not shown in the photos. The space between the slats is 1.5″. 20 slats are provided.
   13. Additional Option: Finished foot-end slat. If you would like to push the mattress to the wall without seeing uncovered slats at the foot end, you can order a 6″ wide slat that is finished wood the same as the exterior of your bed. You can request a different extension width for a different price that will be quoted after your request. Please specify in the “order notes” section and the cost will be added to your final order.

Build Quality

No veneers or compressed particle boards are used except for high quality plywood in drawer bottoms and cabinet backs and some interior drawer support structure.

Our standard finish is un-stained wood finished with Tung Oil. This creates a beautiful, highly durable and easy to maintain finish that brings out the natural character and unique grain patterns of our hardwoods.

Our wood is from the forests in the Appalachian region of the United States that have been sustainably harvested for hundreds of years. Wood is a natural product and as a result grain patterns and variation in color and character in the wood are different in each piece of furniture and will not be an exact match with the listing photos. The unique color, grain and appearance are part of the unique one-of-a-kind qualities of your furniture.
