Canopy Bed with Sideboard Trim Approximate Dimensions:

1. The bed is 4″ wider and 6″ longer than a standard sized mattress
2. The sides and end board bottoms are 8″ above the floor. Sides are 10″ tall, and the foot end is taller with shelf board.
3. The top of the headboard is 49″ above the floor
4. The canopy posts are 2.8″ by 2.8″ square mid section and taper to 1.5″ by 1.5″ at the top and bottom. The posts are 84″ tall. The top rails are 1.5″ by 1.5″ square.  Including the leveling pad on the bottom of the post, the floor to top of canopy measures almost 86″.
5. This design includes shelf boards on top of the headboard and footboard plus a trim on the bottom and top of the side boards
6. The bed is configured for a box springs resting on slats at 10″ above the floor. The King sizes have a center support under the slats that is not shown in the photos. 5 slats are provided for that configuration. The platform configuration has 20 slats with 1.5″ of spacing.
7. We offer a platform configuration for use without box springs. This includes 20 slats and a support beam under the slats for the queen and larger beds. There is of 1.5″ of  space between the slats. The top of the slats is 17″ from the floor in this configuration.

Build Quality

No veneers or compressed particle boards are used other than high quality plywood for drawer bottoms and dresser back. The wood that is not normally seen is a different hardwood species.

Our standard finish is un-stained wood finished with Tung Oil. This creates a beautiful, highly durable and easy to maintain finish that brings out the natural character and unique grain patterns of our hardwoods.

Our wood is from the forests in the Appalachian region of the United States that have been sustainably harvested for hundreds of years. Wood is a natural product and as a result grain patterns and variation in color and character in the wood are different in each piece of furniture and will not be an exact match with the listing photos. The unique color, grain and appearance are part of the unique one-of-a-kind qualities of your furniture.
