1. The bed is 3″ wider and 7″ longer than a standard size mattress
2. The total bed height is 86″
3. The sides and end board bottoms are 8″ above the floor.  Side boards are 10″ tall, foot end with top cap board is 11″
4. The top of the headboard is 50″ from the floor
5. The canopy posts are 2.8″ by 2.8″ square from top to bottom and not tapered
6. The top rails are 2.8″ wide and .9″ thick
7.  The bed is a platform configuration for use without a box spring. 20 hardwood slats are provided to support the mattress. The platform configuration has 20 slats with 1.5″ spacing.  To request box springs configuration, Contact Us.

No veneers or compressed particle boards are used other than high quality plywood for drawer bottoms and dresser back. The wood that is not normally seen is a different hardwood species.

Our standard finish is un-stained wood finished with Tung Oil. This creates a beautiful, highly durable and easy to maintain finish that brings out the natural character and unique grain patterns of our hardwoods.

Our wood is from the forests in the Appalachian region of the United States that have been sustainably harvested for hundreds of years. Wood is a natural product and as a result grain patterns and variation in color and character in the wood are different in each piece of furniture and will not be an exact match with the listing photos. The unique color, grain and appearance are part of the unique one-of-a-kind qualities of your furniture.
