Bunk bed with trundle! Our most popular bunk bed with the added flexibility of a roll out trundle bed. Both kids and adults love the simple and functional design. Like all of our furniture it is build from solid wood and more than strong enough for adults to use both the top and the bottom. The removable top railing at the sides easily lifts off and slides back on making it easy to make up the top bed sheets. The bed is custom made for you. In addition to the standard mattress sizes shown above, we offer custom mattress combinations. For example: a full size bunk mattresses with a Twin size trundle. A shorter mattress in the trundle works best – for example a Full-XL or a Twin-XL over a Twin works better than a Full or Twin over a Twin. Please contact us for more detail.

The most popular configuration of a Trundle bed is a Twin XL or Full XL on top, and a regular Twin or Full for the Trundle. This is available for no extra cost. If you want to use an upper mattress that is the same length as the Trundle mattress, then the upper length is about 4? longer than needed for the mattress. There are multiple options of what to do with that extra space. Please contact us to discuss these options.

Bunk bed with trundle approximate dimensions:

1. 1. The overall bed is 81″ tall at the top of the headboard
   2. Bottom of upper bunk mattress is 58″ from the floor
   3. Bottom of lower bunk mattress is 19″ from the floor
   4. The ladder adds 3″ to the length of the bed
   5. If the trundle mattress is shorter than the mattresses used on the middle and top levels, then the overall width and length of the bed is the middle mattress width plus 3″ and length plus 5″ for the bed frame.
   6. The bed is a platform configuration for use without box springs. The bed is configured for a mattress resting on slats. The space between the slats is about 1.5″.
   7. With your order type a note saying where you want the ladder placed: left side, right side, or foot end left or right. (When standing at the foot end of the bed looking toward the head end, left is on your left).

No veneers or compressed particle boards are used except for high quality plywood in drawer bottoms and cabinet backs and some interior drawer support structure. The wood that is not normally seen (such as for slats) is a different hardwood species.

Our standard finish is Tung Oil. This creates a beautiful, highly durable and easy to maintain finish that brings out the natural character and unique grain patterns of our hardwoods. Our wood is from the forests in the Appalachian region of the United States that have been harvested for hundreds of years. Wood is a natural product and as a result grain patterns and variation in color and character in the wood are different in each piece of furniture and will not be an exact match with the listing photos. The unique color, grain and appearance are part of the unique one-of-a-kind qualities of your furniture.
