We are so so happy with our custom bed from Lee- it is made with incredibly beautiful materials and is incredibly high quality. The set up instructions were in depth and easy to follow- definitely helpful to have two sets of hands as it is a large piece of furniture! Communication was stellar and we couldn't be more pleased with the end product.
We ordered a custom king in walnut with six drawers. The packaging was excellent- took us a good hour to unpack it. Took my husband and I about 4 hours to put together. Definitely some work but it was worth it. The bed is SOLID! Excellent quality and looks gorgeous. The drawers are huge and hold a ton! So glad we chose to invest in such a high quality bed. Communication was excellent as were the instructions. We did need more screws than were provided so just be aware. Highly recommend!
This bed is the nicest piece of furniture I've ever owned. I am proud of the fact it was built by hand, in the USA. It arrived almost a month earlier than quoted which made us very happy! The craftsmanship is flat-out amazing! The bed ships unassembled, in a box on a pallet. Throughout the assembly, each piece, each fastener, each pre-drilled fitting was in exactly the right place, and the finished assembly is rock-solid. If you are considering a similar purchase, I encourage you to choose something from Solid Cherry Heirlooms.
The frame we ordered exceeded our expectations by 10 fold. The detail involved in the construction is more than I expected. Above that, the cherry wood and finish is beautiful. The color/stain/dye matches our other furniture nicely. We even added our cherry queen size headboard to this frame. Also, the drawers are perfect for what we were looking for. Assembly of the frame was actually pretty straight forward and simple for a handy person. I expect this frame to last a lifetime or longer. Excellent bed. Solid as a rock and will last a lifetime. My wife and I originally purchased this one (four drawer model) but ended up going with NdFvS01-6 (six drawer model). As is explained in the description, modifications can easily be made upon request. We added 3" to the drawer height for a small fee as we wanted some additional storage space in the drawers. We went with the wormy maple and it looks almost exactly like the 6 drawer one (NdFvS01-6) in the picture. Just awesome. Can't say enough good things about this bed. I shopped for weeks looking for a solid WOOD bed, not some cheesy particle board nonsense with veneer just asking to be banged up resulting in a shabby appearance. Looked at 100s of beds. We settled on this one because of the sleek design, looks, storage, and price. Thanks Lee, excellent work man!
I have been so impressed with Lee throughout this whole process. I received the bed within the time frame quoted and was so impressed with the care taken during packing! Freight was quick (to MA) and the crate could not have been fit together more thoughtfully. Putting the bed together took a bit but my husband and I actually had a good time doing it! Lee provided very extensive directions with photos to reference. He also provided his number should we need help at any step. There was one misunderstanding during ordering and I was absolutely blown away by the generosity and service Lee provided in response. I have already mentioned Lee to a number of people and will certainly be ordering again in the future. Thank you, Lee! We love our bed frame!
We love our new bed! We got it in Walnut! It is beautiful!! We had it shipped to us in Jacksonville,FL before we moved to Japan! It arrived when it said it was and delivery was very easy to set up! We hope to buy another piece once we move back to the states in a few years!! He was wonderful to work with and gave us exactly what we wanted!!
This bed is absolutely beautiful and lovingly made. We got a little confused during assembly, but a quick call to Lee cleared it right up. The next time we need to purchase a bed I will definitely turn to Lee again!
Damn fine piece of furniture. Every time I look at it, I am proud of how beautiful and tasteful it is. The construction is precise, and the design is clever. Arrives in a large crate, with many parts partially assembled. Took around 6 hours for 1 person to unpack/move/assemble. I recommend you have someone to help, and use a power tool. Both will make the process much faster and easier. Lee has been very responsive and helpful throughout. He sent very detailed assembly instructions. Also sent out a replacement guide rail I'd bent, free of charge. Very happy with this purchase; likely the last bed I'll ever buy.
We love this bed! The pic doesn’t do it justice! There was a slight bit of difference in the directions, but I was able to call Lee and he helped us figure everything out and we were able to put the bed together in a relatively short period of time. It was like the IKEA master class ?. Everything went smoothly from ordering to communication to delivery. Lee was there every step of the way if we needed him and he was even able to delay shipment a week since we were on vacation once the frame was ready to ship. I would very highly recommend this shop; the quality is amazing and the frame is more beautiful than I could have imagined. I’m am extremely satisfied, to say the least!
The bed is beautiful and well-crafted. Lee worked with me to tweak the design to fit our needs. Assembly was straightforward. There was some damage to one piece of wood in transit--this wasn't Lee's fault, but he immediately offered to make it right and supplied the necessary materials and instructions. The bed now looks perfect and is a great addition to our home. Highly recommended!
